Mohammed Awad’s vision was deteriorating until he saw nothing but shadows. But Awad decided not to give up in this era of medical miracles. After some tests, it was found that Awad suffered from severe cataracts in both eyes.

“This is a common disease.” said Prof. Eytan Blumenthal, Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Rambam, who examined Awad, “There were those who did not think it reasonable to analyze an old man. In the 21st century there is no reason that a person should suffer from visual impairment, and certainly not blindness from cataracts.

After years of limited vision, Awad can see!
