The Department of Ophthalmology at Rambam Health Care Campus, led by Prof. Eytan Blumenthal, cares for difficult and complex eye conditions.  Patients arrive from the northern half of Israel, as well as from more distant parts of Israel and from overseas.  The department is home to experts in all the different disciplines of ophthalmology, from cataract and retina, to glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, uveitis, cornea, pediatric ophthalmology and more.


Prof. Eytan Blumenthal specializes in surgery for glaucoma and cataract patients, and more specifically, in the care of the more complex patients that are referred (and self-referred) to our tertiary center, where we accumulated the knowledge, expertise and equipment to provide the best possible care.
